DAD'S BREAKFAST, SATURDAY, MAY 17, 8:30-10:30AM > MUST RSVP: After a 2-year hiatus, the youth ministry is back hosting the Dad's Breakfast! We'll meet at the Fellowship Hall promptly at 8:30am for hot coffee and a stupendous meal headed up by Todd Ridenour, breakfast chef extraordinaire. CREATION CARE NIGHT: Join us Monday, May 12 from 7:30 - 9:00 at The Loft, 821 State St., as we explore practical ways in which we can act out our Biblical mandate to care for creation. This session is a follow up to Matthew Sleeth's recent visit and is intended to deepen our discussion of the ways we can worship and honor God through stewarding the resources He has given us. The event will include a brief talk by Eric Lohela, Recycling Coordinator for the City of Santa Barbara.
B.E.A.N.S. (BECAUSE EVERYONE ALWAYS NEEDS SOMETHING): May 18th following the 6pm service in the Fellowship Hall. Come enjoy the simple meal and hear about the great ministry at the Community Development Center. Donations (whatever you would have spent on dinner) will go towards the highlighted ministry.
SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES AT THE 10AM SERVICE:
PRAYER TEAMS: If you are attending (or planning to attend) the 10 a.m. service, we are looking for people who have a heart for prayer to be part of our prayer teams ministry. Each Sunday the prayer teams make themselves available to pray during communion for those in our church who have both needs and praises. It has been a rich blessing to all involved. If you would like to join us there will be a brief training on Sunday, May 4th at 11:30 in the Fellowship Hall, immediately following the 10 a.m. service. Please plan on attending. Questions?
