Our February Special Offering for the Poor will be divided between two ministries in the Middle East. The first half goes to the Palestinian Bible Society’s Touches of Mercy Humanitarian Relief Fund.  This fund is administered by the Palestinian Bible Society and works to help the very poor in Palestine in the name of Jesus.  The other half will go to the Prisoners and Human Trafficking Project that works in partnership with the Jordanian Evangelical Prison Ministry and the Olive Branch Outreach.  This ministry helps women living in safe houses in Jordan by providing food, clothing, Bibles, and a weekly Bible study where the gospel is presented.  Please consider a gift toward these two projects above and beyond your regular giving.  Giving boxes will be available through Feb. 26th.

Book Donations Needed:  The library thanks you all for the many donated books we were able to send to the Philippines last year - over one ton of books!  Now for 2012, we want to do the same thing and need your help.  We are looking for good, used Christian books for children, teens, adults to send to many Christians in the Philippines and other areas of the world.  Please drop them off at the library anytime.  Thank you so much!

Help Needed in SBCC Library:   At SBCC, we have a great library with over 5500 volumes of good Christian books.  We are looking for someone who wants to learn how to run the library, put forth a vision for the library to follow, and utilize volunteers in a dedicated manner, all so that others can acquire information and check out books!  We are prayerfully seeking someone with dedication, a bit of time, PC computer familiarity, and a desire to serve the Lord and SBCC with good Christian reading material. Please contact Betty Sullins if interested at bettysullins@juno.com.

Missionary Prayer Meeting… needs more people to pray.  We meet on Thursday from 12:30-1:30pm at Betty Sullins’ house, just 5 minutes from the church.  Call Betty 683-7476 or email her at bettysullins@juno.com for more information.

Freezer Meals Available:  Are you out of work? Caring for a sick family member?  Know someone else who could use a meal?  We have homemade meals in the church freezer, and this is one way we can care for one another.  If you would like to take one home, contact Deana Gilman, deana@sbcommunity.org.
