Working Mom's Group - Jun 21st: Join us for our last meeting until the fall on Friday, June 21st from 7:30-9:00pm at the home of Rachel Winslow (853 Cambridge Dr). We will share, pray, and plan over dessert. For more information, please contact Angela D'Amour at adamour@westmont.edu or Rachel Winslow at 530-363-3497 or rwinslow@westmont.edu.
7 Experiment - Staging Your Own Mutiny Against Excess - Jul 9th: Women, please join us this summer as we embark on a journey to eliminate excess in our lives through the Jen Hatmaker 7 Experiment study. This study will lead you through a focused fast on seven key areas: food, clothes, spending, media, possessions, waste, and stress. What's the payoff for living such a deeply reduced life? It's the discovery of a greatly increased God, a call toward Christ-like simplicity, and generosity that transcends a social experiment to become a radically better existence. We're excited for you to join us for this 8 week study, Tuesdays in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00pm, 7/9 - 8/27. The cost is $15 for the study book, which you can purchase the first night. Please email Anna Jordan and Devany Bechler at SBCC7Study@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to sign up!

Homegroup Leader Team Formation - by Jun 30th: Currently homegroup leader teams are being formed for September. In order to reach our goal for new groups there is still a need for a few more leaders, new and returning, married and single, and all ages—college and up. This may be you! If you have been in a SBCC homegroup and are ready to serve on a leader team of 4-6 people, please contact Susi Lamoutte at Homegroup Hotline, 967-5673 or homegroups@sbcommunity.org. If you are new to SBCC and are interested in joining a homegroup leader team, please contact Susi for more information.
Come Play on Sunday this Summer: Homegroups, and therefore our Homegroup Childcare system, are on a break for the summer, but our children are not! If you consider SBCC your church family & you are physically able, please sign up to be a helper in childcare at least one Sunday from July 7- September 15. You can pick your date, service time & age group. Use this LINK to sign up on sign up on the patio after church on June 23rd.
Freezer Meals Needed: From time to time we stock the church freezer with meals for those in need -- whether there is an illness or death in the family, or a loss of employment, it is a tangible way to support one another. (Many homegroups have enjoyed making these meals together as a group activity.) If you can help with this, thank you! The guidelines are:
- Use a disposable (and freezable) container;
- Clearly mark it with the date the item was made, and what it is;
- Put it in the freezer on the far left of the church kitchen –OR, if you don't know where that is, contact Deana Gilman, deana@sbcommunity.org to arrange for a drop-off time.
Donate Books for the Philippines: Thanks for allowing four boxes of books to leave for the Philippines recently! We now have 4 more slightly packed boxes left and need more books to fill them. We so appreciate your generosity in bringing in books from overloaded home shelves to the library.
Giving
Giving Note: Giving boxes are in the church entryway or you are welcome to mail your church giving to Kathy Roberts at 41 S. Ontare Rd., SB, 93105. Please make checks payable to “SBCC.” Questions? Contact Kathy at kathy@sbcommunity.org.
