Children's Ministries Leadership Participation

Primary Requirement: Love for the Lord
Complete basic paperwork: application, recommendation , consent to background check, and an interview
Participate in a homegroup
Attend quarterly training sessions

Age Specific Groups

Preschool to Kindergarten

First-Fourth Grade (configured differently at each service)

Roles for Sunday at 9 & 11 am Services (5pm Pending)

Small Group Leaders, a.k.a. “Friends”dismiss with the children and shepherd them through the story and activities, providing relational support for the whole session.

Story Tellersset the stage for the large group each session by telling a story from the curriculum. Story Tellers are with the children from 9:15/11:15 to 9:45/11:45.

Response Leaders choose one of the recommended activities (ranging from crafts, worship or games) from the curriculum, prep it and help the small group leaders implement it with their groups. Response Leaders are with the children from 9:45/11:45 to 10:15/12:15.

All Leaders are encouraged to share the school year calendar any way they see fit with their partner (trading off every other week, month or even attending another service to be involved every week)

Children's Ministries Support System

Childcare Supervisors:
Once a month commitment to oversee homegroup childcare helpers in the areas of the nursery, toddlers or Orange tag children.

Information Table Staff:
Once a month commitment to provide information for visitors regarding childcare locations and registration.

Sunday School Summer Leaders

Snack Supplier:
Stock snacks and water bottles needed for use in the Preschool and K-2 Sunday school classes (as needed basis).

Special Event Support:
There are several special events during the year that need one time assistance (Easter childcare, Advent, two Sundays in Dec. when there is no Sunday school.
