Praxis Men’s Ministries is discipleship by men, with men, and for men.

"PRAXIS"…from the Latin meaning “to do” or “practice.” The word speaks of theory put into action and practice.

The goal of Praxis is to bring together the men of our church body in order to encourage, strengthen, and sharpen one another in our Christian lives through challenging guest speakers, thoughtful testimonies, small group discussion, and fellowship.

Our meetings occur twice a month, September through May. We meet at Santa Barbara Community Church at 6:15am for coffee and donuts. Our group meeting continues from 6:30am to 7:45am.

Please join us as we meet other men of SBCC and grow from our time with one another. Interested individuals can sign up by contacting one of the men listed below.

Praxis Winter/Spring 2013
For this winter/spring edition of Praxis we will be working through a book by pastor Kent Hughes, Disciplines of a Godly Man. If you don't have the time or desire to read another book please do not let this stop you from attending. Each Praxis morning we will have a 15-minute presentation to summarize the chapter for that week, give us some food for thought on the topic of the week, and then break up into small groups for discussion. You are, however, encourage to buy and read the book, if possible. It is excellent! Books will be available to purchase at church. In general, Praxis meets the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month, but be sure to check the Announcements for any updates or changes. Come at 6:15am for coffee & food; meetings begin at 6:30am.
