Mission & Goal My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2
Our aim is to connect women for mutual encouragement and growth in faith. Join us in Bible study, and in events and activities as we gather to deepen our relationship with Jesus and with each other.

StoryNight is an evening of fellowship, fun, food and an opportunity to hear one woman's story. Offered bi-annually in March and October, all women are welcome, so bring a friend! Check back for our next StoryNight in October. To hear a past StoryNight recording, scroll down.
Registration is officially open for the Gathering, a collective women's Bible study that begins with teaching and worship, and then small groups for discussion. Two available time-frames: Monday evenings at 7pm, beginning September 15th, OR Thursday mornings (with available pre-K children's program), at 9:30 a.m., beginning September 18th. This fall we will be doing a study entitled, "Intentional: Choosing to Live for Christ." It will culminate in a conference under the same name with Jen Hatmaker in January (see below). We hope you will join us in this Scripture-centered study on what it means to live out the attributes of Christ with purpose and intention! Cost is $30.00, inclusive of study guide and registration fee. Children's program is $100.00 for the entire year. – Register HERE.
Jen Hatmaker is coming to SBCC!
Though the date is ridiculously far off, please save January 30-31, 2015, for a women’s conference right here at SBCC. If you are not familiar with Jen Hatmaker, check out one of her books on Amazon, or her blog at http://jenhatmaker.com/blog.htm. We hope you can come because it is going to be amazing. Better yet, why don’t you join a fun group of women to help make this happen? If you are interested in offering your time and skills, contact Anna Jordan, email@example.com, or Devany Bechler, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Women’s Discipleship Group on Issues of Sexual Abuse
The Women’s Discipleship Group is a Christ-centered covenant fellowship for women who have experienced the deep and painful wounds of sexual abuse. Through discussion, prayer and encouragement, women will explore how these experiences have affected their view of themselves, and their relationships with God and others. Dan Allender’s book, The Wounded Heart, and its accompanying workbook, will be used for personal growth and group discussion. Group members will journey together on paths toward healing. This group will be held in a safe, confidential location and will be a closed group, limited in size. Meetings will be held every other Monday from 6:45-9:00pm beginning October 6th and concluding in May. This will specifically be a discipleship group and not intended to replace professional counseling. For more information, please contact Alison McWilliams email@example.com, Susi Lamoutte firstname.lastname@example.org, or Heidi Palladino email@example.com.
Working Moms' Group The juggling act of working and raising children is more the norm than the exception these days. Join us monthly as come together to pray, and to hear from other working moms. For more information, contact Ashley Cornelius (e-mail) or Caitlin Tufts (e-mail) We look forward to seeing you!
Mentoring The word "mentoring" can sound ominously weighty, but we care deeply about the privilege and responsibility of discipleship. Click HERE to read an article about what we believe, in women's ministries, to be one of our greatest priorities as Christian women. If you would like to be involved in a mentoring/discipleship relationship, please fill out this information sheet, return to Bonnie Fearer, and then contact Maja Greig, Lisa Jolley, or Bonnie Fearer.
MOPS Goleta MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets at Santa Barbara Community Church on alternate Fridays throughout the school year. If interested in being involved, or in helping out, please contact Becca Eliason.
