Praxis - May 10th: Our every other Friday gathering continues Friday, May 10th. There is food and coffee at 6:15am. We begin right at 6:30 and end promptly at 7:45am. Our new series is exploring how our habits affect our love for God. See you there!

Men's work day - Sat., May 11th: Hope Refuge is getting very close to having final approval from the state to be a home for trafficked girls. We are going to help with this push to the finish line by heading up again to do some work on the property on Saturday, May 11. Lunch will be provided. We will meet at the church at 8am and return mid-afternoon. There is much work to do…if you have skills in the area of plumbing, electrical, or carpentry we can use you. If you are unskilled labor, there are still plenty of tasks to finish around the camp. Sign up on the patio or at https://www.sbcommunity.org/events-retreats/.

Summer Gathering: Five Monday nights from June 10 to July 8, 7-8:30pm, explore the defining question of our time: What is truth? Using Lisa Bevere’s book Adamant: Finding Truth in a Universe of Opinions, we’ll gather for a short video, then break into small groups. Come discuss how to love people as Jesus does while we live out His truth, more ancient than time and more relevant than our culture. Register and pre-pay $10 for the book at www.sbcommunity.org/women(under Groups).

Praying the Psalms Homegroup Study Now Available. Be sure to get your study sheets for SBCC's 5-week sermon series on prayers found in the Book of Psalms. The short study guide is available online in both printable and editable download formats at https://www.sbcommunity.org/homegroups/. Some copies are available in the church office for those who don’t have online access. Don’t miss this wonderful journey into the Bible's own language of prayer!

Wednesday AM Prayer - May 15th

Make it your aim to come consistently to Wednesday morning prayer.  Ben Patterson leads this time from 6:45-7:45am in the Fellowship Hall.  Learn how to use the scriptures to give direction to your prayers.  If you've never come you will be surprised by how fast the hour goes!

Bringing The Outsider In: Book Of Ruth Small Group Curriculum

Inspired by the powerful message of God the Redeemer in the book of Ruth as we heard it at the church retreat? Consider gathering a few friends and neighbors to explore the book together over five weeks this summer! Designed for those who have little or no familiarity with the Bible, Dr. Sandy Richter’s curriculum includes DVD teaching, a leader’s guide, and member study guides. Packets available for $75 on the patio.

Ramadan Prayer Guides

The Muslim month of Ramadan begins tomorrow (May 6-June 4). During this month of fasting when Muslims are seeking God, Christians around the world will be praying that many would find life in Christ. A limited number of printed prayer guides are available in the entry way. You may also visit http://www.30daysprayer.com to find additional Ramadan-related prayer resources.

Please check out our SBCC library of Christian books. The library is open before and after Sunday morning services. We take Christian book donations to ship to Christian organizations in the Philippines.
