Men’s Ministry – Dec. 15th: Praxis, our every other week men’s gathering, continues every other Friday. We meet from 6:30-7:45am in the Upper Room. The Gathering… is a collection of small groups meeting together for bible study. The weeks of January 8th through April 9th, we’ll meet on Monday nights from 7-8:30pm and Thursday mornings 9:30-11:30am (with childcare). Explore how women are transformed by encounters with Jesus throughout the Gospel of Luke. If you attended in the fall, you do not need to re-register. Come join us! Christmas Eve Choir – Last practice Dec. 17th: Singers! We welcome your participation in this year’s choir. Remaining Sunday practice: Dec. 17 during the 8:45 service in the fellowship hall. Provide a Warm Welcome on Christmas Eve: If you’re planning to attend any of the three services on Christmas Eve, can you come 20 minutes before the service to welcome and greet at the door? We’re looking for at least four people for each service. This would be a great opportunity for families to serve together! Contact Erin Patterson at erin@sbcommunity if you can help.
Christmas Eve Services: Christmas Eve Services are offered at 9am, 11am and 9:00pm with candlelight at 9:00pm only. No childcare is provided but families are welcome. There are no services on Christmas Day.
New Years Eve Sunday Services: There will only be two morning service at 8:45am and 11am on Sunday, December 31st. There will not be a 4pm service on this day. Elementary-aged children through High School will join their families in the main service.

Annual Church Business Meeting and Celebration – Rescheduled for Dec. 18th: Please mark your calendars for Monday, Dec. 11th, 7:30pm in the Upper Room. God has blessed us in the year 2017 and we are look forward to continued growth in and through Him in 2018. Plan to come to this joy-filled time of celebration as we look back over the past year and look forward to our financial commitments and budget for the coming year. Parenting Workshop (for parents of children ages 2-teens) – Jan. 5th-6th: Children’s and youth ministries are hosting a parenting workshop, entitled “Discipline that Connects With Your Child’s Heart” with Jim and Lynne Jackson from Connected Families. “Discipline that Connects” is a profound and practical way to think about discipline that has empowered thousands of parents to be wiser and more effective when they discipline. Financial Peace University – Jan. 8th: We will be starting up another Financial Peace University starting on Mon, Jan 8th 7:00pm at SBCC. The first night is a free preview. This 9-week course meets on Monday nights and is all about how to get out of debt, saving for emergencies, retirement, college, insurance, and giving – all from a biblical perspective. Course is around $100 and includes workbook, online resources, audio & video access to all lessons for a year and all meeting materials. Foundations Class – Jan. 14th: If you are new to SBCC and looking to know what SBCC believes, how and why we practice church life, this class is for you! Coffee Ministry Help Needed: Are you looking for a practical way to serve your church family? We need some help getting the coffee ready for Sunday services. No barista experience necessary! Just a desire to serve. This would entail arriving at 7:45/8:00am once a month and preparing the coffee, condiments and supplies and putting everything out for people to enjoy. Basic Training for Small Group Leaders – Jan 10th: Come Wed., Jan. 10th, 7-9pm. Open to small group leaders from any ministry at SBCC, this will be an opportunity to brush up our skills in the basics–leading discussion and leading prayer. Newer leaders are particularly encouraged to come.
Homegroup Leaders’ Spring Session Kickoff – Jan. 17th: Come Wed. Jan. 17th, 7-9pm. All homegroup leaders are encouraged to come! Reed and Steve will introduce our Book of Daniel study and we will enjoy a time of prayer together for our groups. Includes coffee, snacks, and fellowship for those who want to hang around and connect with other leaders.
