GIVE

There are two ways that you can maximize your blessing to the church:

1. Make payments using ACH rather than a credit or debit card to maximize the amount of your gift that goes to the church (ACH $0.30 transaction fee vs. credit card 2.15% + $0.30 transaction fee). This method is preferred!
2. Select the option to pay the credit card fees so that the entire donation is credited to the church.

In relation to giving, the Bible teaches us:

• That everything belongs to God (Psalm 24:1).
• That believers have been bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and therefore God is the owner of everything we have, including our money.
• That any ability we have to make money is a result of God’s blessing (Deuteronomy 8:18).
• That giving is an essential component of Christian discipleship (1 Corinthians 16:1-4; 2 Corinthians 8-9).
• That the love of money and possessions are closely tied to the sin of greed (Luke 12:14-21;).
• That the love of money and the desire to become rich plunge people into ruin and destruction (1 Timothy 6:9-10).
• Giving our money to the work of God is one way to break the power of the idol of wealth (Luke 19:8-9; Matthew 6:24-34)).
• That our giving is not to be done grudgingly or even out of necessity. Rather our giving to be done from our joy in knowing God (2 Corinthians 9:7).
• That giving not only stems from our joy in Christ but giving leads to greater joy in the Christian life (2 Corinthians 8:1-7).
