SBCC is participating in the Secret Church simulcast on April 24, 2020. David Platt will be leading four hours of Bible teaching on this year’s topic of “God, Government, and the Gospel.” This event will also include prayer and teaching on unreached people groups and the persecuted church. The simulcast will be viewed by Christians in numerous countries worldwide to teach God’s Word and to provide solidarity with the persecuted church.
While we are not able to gather in a large group, registered individuals will be provided with an access code to stream the simulcast on their own computer. The live event will occur from 4 pm to 10 pm, but the video may be watched as a simulcast during that period or delayed and watched at any time over the following 90 days. The video may also be split up to be watched over multiple time periods during the 90 days. What a great resource to use during this extended time for many of us staying at home!
Register to attend and to receive a 120 page study guide. Cost is $10 per person, however if cost is an issue please contact Diane See for scholarship options. For more information on Secret Church, see their website at SecretChurch.org, or please contact Diane See at 805-448-7754 or email Diane See.
Annual All-Church Retreat
Annually, Santa Barbara Community Church retreats to Malibu, CA in April for an extended time of rest, recreation, fellowship, worship and learning. If you haven’t been to one of our all-church retreats before, ask others what it is like!
There is something for everyone. Places to stay range from hotel accommodations all the way to camping on a deck. Our worship together is enhanced by poolside baptisms, meals together, recreational activities, a musical performed by our kids, and more. Even our children have a Kids Retreat to enjoy while adults worship together. The Kids Retreat provides a way for elementary age children and younger to worship and grow closer to God, as well as build their own relationships among their peers.
